To sink or swim?

James 1:12

I think we’ve all had times in our lives where we ask, Why God? When life in general just doesn’t go the way we’ve planned. Like when relationships fall through, career pathways seems so out of reach or even friendships fallouts- it does seem logical. But what I realised is that life is actually 5% what happens but 95% how we choose to take it šŸ˜‰

At the end of the day, we’re the ones making the choices of how we react. It all comes down to our ever present free will. To choose whether to sink or swim with God. Even when we don’t understand the backstory behind things that don’t make sense.

It always is easier to subconsciously sink- anyone can do that in a heartbeat. Yet to swim, that takes strength and courage that defies all human logic and rational. When we choose to swim by being grateful for what we do have, trusting that God has the perfect plan, and being joyful – inner peace reassurance that everything is going to work out in the end, even if we can’t see it right now.

Above all, it’s really living by faith and not by sight. That’s supernatural living. It by no means comes easy nor is second nature. But it all starts with one simple change- instead of why, let’s ask what? (Does God want us to learn?)

Life is truly a journey full of ups and downs, twists and turns- and we have to fight the good fight in God’s strength to overcome adversity. This is the making of us and when we reach the other side- we are getting closer to all we were created to be. šŸ˜‰ Perseverant. Determined. Driven. Courageous. Fearless. Only by God’s grace and love. ā¤

His good work in us hasn’t finished. It’s just the beginning.
