101 Questions… Book Launch Challenge #3

Challenge #3 =) Oooh love this one! Brings back memories of high school and my early 20โ€™s, the years of self discovery and finding self confidence ๐Ÿ˜‰ And coming out of the 5 years of learning and growing, the nuggets (yes nuggets cause Iโ€™m feeling peckish right now) of wisdom I learnt are: The moment you stop worrying what other people think about you and let go of your inhibitions… You realise: ๐Ÿ˜‰ That everyone else is figuring life as well. ๐Ÿ˜‰ That peopleโ€™s naysayers opinion of you really shouldnโ€™t matter. In fact that became my sign that I was on the right track when people were telling me that I was crazy and reckless for even considering it ๐Ÿ˜‰ ๐Ÿ˜‰ That no one can make you feel inferior or judged without your consent =) damn straight! And what that looks like? ๐Ÿ˜‰ You take more chances fearlessly and leap with faith into the unknown. ๐Ÿ˜‰ If the thought, I donโ€™t think I can comes up, it means I definitely should do it ๐Ÿ˜‰ ๐Ÿ˜‰ Comfort zone living no longer seems enticing, life of edge looks way more fun ๐Ÿ˜‰ cause God is more concerned about our character growth than our comfort ๐Ÿ˜‰ ๐Ÿ˜‰ You learn to love yourself not only for your strengths but your flaws and somehow make them into your greatest strengths. The end of my 5 years of self discovery has led me to become the every brave, witty, relentless, perseverant, courageous, funny, fearless, confident and kind person that I always wanted to be ๐Ÿ˜‰ with Godโ€™s grace & love. ๐Ÿ™ƒ๐ŸŒˆ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜Žโค๏ธ Trust me, if you nail self confidence and vanquish self doubt early on – youโ€™ve already accomplished what people spend most of their lives trying to ๐Ÿ˜‰ Go forth and be awesome! ๐Ÿ™ƒ P.S: My go to self confidence & love songs are Who Says by Selena Gomez & Iโ€™m Me by Us the Duo ๐Ÿ™ƒ๐Ÿ˜‰ Perfect songs to start any day =)

101 Questions… Book Launch Challenge #2

Challenge #2! And itโ€™s an epic one ^^ Reading this reminded me of Secret #26 in @paulangone 101 Secrets for your Twenties, โ€˜Our imperfections, doubts and questions about faith donโ€™t make us unfaithful freaks- they make us human.โ€™ Stand out quote from the secret? โ€˜Why waste time with church if we all share a collective perfection?โ€™ In true Paul Angone style, he also added the fact that it honestly felt like a problem-free parallel universe where everyone was so hyped up… [on coffee, donuts, light shows and Jesus] where there wasnโ€™t a cloud, drop of rain or speck of pollution in the sky!โ€™ Haha. In all seriousness though, he has a point. If church canโ€™t be a place where we donโ€™t have to act like we have it all together, where else can we go? After all, we all have issues, problems and questions- so maybe instead of hiding them, we should be intentional in sharing them ๐Ÿ˜‰ And thatโ€™s what I decided to do ever since last year ^^. Sure it can be scary to be vulnerable. But people are not mind readers, if you donโ€™t tell them you are struggling, they cannot help you ๐Ÿ™ƒ so I made the leap and couldnโ€™t have moved out without my Youth Pastor and partners help! And now? As a church leader, Iโ€™m super intentional in sharing my struggles cause that builds a sense of trust, relability and authenticity. That Iโ€™m just like my group members, still learning and growing and looking for answers. Thereโ€™s nothing like authenticity and transparency that gets even the most introverted members to share their struggles as they realise theyโ€™re not alone in this.๐Ÿ˜‰ So be intentional in sharing your struggles, it builds relationships. Itโ€™s time to ditch the facade of perfection. ๐Ÿ˜Ž

101 Questions You need to ask in Your Twenties book launch!

So in awe to be part of @paulangone book launch team for his new epic upcoming book – 101 Questions you need to ask in your 20โ€™s! So this is challenge #1 (the above) ๐Ÿ˜‰ Having just got out of the woods (of my last life season – more on that in my Faith in the woods podcast!), God has shown me if I had thrown in the towel to resign in my crappy job, I would have missed the valuable opportunity to train, empower and inspire the new young 20something junior female recruits! I never imagined in my wildest dreams that I would be in the privileged position to share my knowledge and pass on the torch of what I know and become a team leader before I hit my mid 20โ€™s! ๐Ÿ˜Ž Same story for my @cityonahillmelb church Gospel Community/bible group- if I gave up rooting myself in a church, would have never ended up as a GC co-leader and be at a place surrounded by inspiring young women to empower and nurture them. Thereโ€™s a reason after all why people say patience is a virtue! ๐Ÿ™ƒ๐Ÿ˜‰

Before the technology revolution took off 7 years ago, reading an actual book from a library or a bookstore was the norm. And being an avid reader/bookworm, there was nothing I liked more than escaping to my reading sanctuary.
